Our team of highly-skilled consultants are ready to help and advise you on any project, large or small. YOU control how much input you want us to have in your project whether this means simply supplying you with software or going on to provide specialised consultancy, design and implementation services.
Software
Polemark currently supply several content management and portal systems: Synkron.web, RedDot, Hesehus and SharePoint. Depending on your needs, we will usually recommend one or other of these products and, if you wish, simply provide you with the software so that your in-house developers or your existing web agency can design and implement the system for you. We can also install the software and act as your support team – if you want us to. In other words, you control the degree to which we get involved with your project.
Consultancy
To us, producing a successful web project is rather like building a house – you need thoroughly researched plans and blueprints before the site can be built. This documentation may include:
- Functional Specification: an overview of your new website, intranet or extranet which describes the functionality contained in it’s different pages (e.g. forms, discussion groups, content published from databases);
- Technical Specification: an analysis of your current technical resources and infrastructure and how this fits with the new web project;
- Design Specification: guidelines on what the new website, intranet or extranet will look like from an aesthetic perspective and how this can be optimised for the web;
- Information Architecture: a document detailing what content will be available on the new web property, how users will reach those pages, that the specific aims and targets are for the new site(s).
It’s entirely possible of course that you may have these blueprints already. If not however, Polemark can help you put them together. Our consultants can schedule meetings and workshops with different stakeholders to get their input and produce detailed specifications upon which the new website(s) will ultimately be developed – either by us (please see below), by your existing web agency or your in-house programmers.
Implementation
Once we know exactly what you want from your new site(s), have produced or reviewed documentation to confirm the layout, spec and design you can put us to work on implementation – that is, we’ll start building the site and it’s templates and integrating in the relevant content management system (if any).
